Unlucky people: people who get into trouble all the time
Some of us are a magnet for problems. Bad things happen to these people all the time. However, they successfully overcome the difficulties they encounter.
Our article is about such lucky people. Although, it is up to you to judge whether these people are lucky or not.
Frein Selak
Many misfortunes have happened to this Croatian. In the early 1960s, Frein was in the compartment of a train that fell into a river. Luckily, Selak only got away with a couple of scratches.
Soon after the accident, another mishap befell Frein. Thus, the Croatian was involved in a plane crash. He was miraculously thrown out of the plane. Selak lost consciousness for a while. He woke up in a haystack and realised that his life was not in danger.
A few years later Freyne had another car accident and survived. In the 1970s the story was repeated several more times. In 1995 a man was hit by a bus. However, this time he survived. A year after these events Selak miraculously survived a car accident.
In the early noughties, Frane hit the lottery jackpot. He won $1 million. Horvath admitted that he had always considered himself unlucky.
John Lyne
This Briton was badly injured as a child. Childish pranks in a tree ended up for him in a hospital bed. Young Lyn’s misadventures didn’t end there.
When he left the hospital, John was immediately involved in a car accident. He was given the insulting nickname “Joe Disaster” for his unprecedented bad luck.
He’d been caught up in a lot of bad luck in his life. Many of them could have ended badly. Like falling off a cliff or being struck by lightning. John’s friends always wondered how he managed to survive. They were sure the boy knew the secret of immortality.
William Post
One day this man was fabulously lucky. So Post hit the lottery jackpot. His winnings amounted to 16 million. Friends and relatives tried to take that money away from him by any means necessary. William’s own brother hired a hit man to kill him. Something didn’t go according to plan and Post’s relative was sent to prison.
As for William himself, he wanted to start his own business but went bust. The man was hiding from the tax authorities. When the tax collector came to his house, he tried to kill him. Post received a prison sentence for this.
On being released from prison, William declared bankruptcy. In January he passed away. The cause of Post’s death was a respiratory problem.
Major Summerfold
This man was struck by lightning three times but survived. The first incident occurred in 1918. At that time, Summerfold survived a lightning strike. Doctors diagnosed him with paralysis. The major was sent to Canada for treatment.
A second lightning strike occurred in 1924 while fishing. Summerfold was again struck by paralysis. In 1930, the Major was struck again by lightning. This terrible event had a negative effect on his health. Soon after the incident the man passed away.
Interestingly, the monument on Summerfold’s grave was also the victim of a lightning attack. The major’s tombstone was completely destroyed.
Henry Siegland
He lived at the end of the 19th century. The man had a serious disagreement with his lover. When Henry walked out on her, the poor woman took her own life.
The deceased’s brother blamed Siegland for her death. The guy tried to shoot Henry, but accidentally put a bullet in his forehead. It went straight through and into a tree trunk. As for Siegland, he got off lightly.
One day Henry had the idea of sawing down the very tree with the bullet in it. But one saw wasn’t enough. Henry’s friend advised him to blow up the tree. So the man did just that. He got some dynamite from somewhere and carefully buried it under the tree. When it exploded, a bullet flew out of its trunk and hit Henry in the head. It turns out that his lover’s brother managed to avenge her death.
Anne Hodges
A strange story happened to this woman in the mid-50s. So, while Anne was sleeping, a large meteorite smashed through the roof of her house. But the space body didn’t stop there. It smashed Ann’s radio and hit her in the arm area. The meteorite also hit the woman’s thigh.
After the incident, Ms Hodges had a visit from the local authorities. They demanded that the woman give them the meteorite. She refused to do so and threatened the officials that she would go to court. Ann kept the meteorite for herself. After some time, Hodges donated it to a museum for safekeeping.
Evelyn Adams
An American woman had twice hit the jackpot in the lottery. Evelyn managed to get rich by $5.4 million. Adams shared her winnings with friends and acquaintances. Evelyn spent what was left of it at the casino.
Now Evelyn doesn’t even own her own house. Our heroine lives in a shabby trailer and remembers a time when she didn’t need anything.
