Parachutists landed on the pitch during a Brazilian league match one day. A strong wind blew the parachute lovers to the pitch.
One of them hit the goalkeeper while landing. The goalkeeper at that moment had the ball in his hands. He couldn’t keep his feet and ended up on the grass. The referee considered that the goalkeeper had crossed the goal line. As a result, the opposing team was awarded a goal.
In Spain a bullfight takes place in a special arena. However, bullfighting can also start on the football field. As during a team match in the town of Fuente.
Footballers of the local club conceded two goals. Suddenly the athletes were blown away. They ran to the locker room after the angry bulls had entered the pitch. No one knew how the animals got there.
It was soon cleared up. A fan of the Fuente team tried to help the team win. He was sure that the result of the game would be annulled. And so it was.
An interesting case took place in 1959 in Germany. Back then, a football and a handball game were scheduled for the same time.

A true curiosity happened on the football field in 1969. Two English teams were competing for their country’s cup.
They did it too emotionally. The footballers took the ball away from the opponents by force. The referee was fed up. He decided to punish all the players who were present on the field. Each of them received a yellow or red card from the referee.
In 1973 a junta came to power in Chile. However, life continued. The football World Cup was approaching.
The Chilean national team was going to take part. True, it still had to beat the Soviet team. The first match in Moscow ended in a draw.
The national team was to play in Santiago. The USSR national team was afraid to go there. FIFA management explained to them that they would still have to play. The match took place with empty stands and the Chileans were victorious.
This unofficial title belongs to William Fulk. He played for Sheffield United at the end of the last century.
Fulk weighed 96kg. He once ate lunch that was meant for the whole team. William’s adventures didn’t end there. During one of the matches he broke the crossbar of the goal. Fulk later excused himself by saying that he just wanted to stretch out and swing a bit.
During the Liverpool vs Sunderland game, one of the most ridiculous goals was scored.
The Liverpool fan threw a balloon onto the pitch. At that moment, Sunderland forward Bent attacked the opponent’s goal. The ball ricocheted off the balloon and into the Liverpool goal. The referee awarded the goal to Sunderland.
The English football championship is not without incident. Once a match between Blackburn and Wigan was disrupted by a rooster.
The bird was released by Blackburn fans. They dressed it up in their team outfit. The feathered intruder ran around the pitch and disturbed the game.
Eventually, the Wigan goalkeeper managed to grab the bird and hand it over to its owners. The game continued.
